On Monday I posted "I'll be following Hal Higdon's Marathon Recovery plan for the next
couple of weeks."
What I actually did this week: Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. Zilch.
I did not walk, run, ride, swim, stretch, or sweat in any way, shape or form. We spent most of the week out of town. I packed running gear, but did nothing with it.
How do I feel about this? Actually, very good. I needed the complete break and was ready to run again this morning. 5.46 miles in 1:02:11, 11:23 pace. Not fast, but faster than I've been since my marathon. My last half mile was a 9:18 pace. And I'm ready for more this week.
