This blog is about my running experience. I am not a physician, nutritionist or personal trainer. I am a runner. I do not know it all. I am only writing from my own experiences. I finished my first marathon on June 3, 2012. Who knows where my feet will take me next!

If I would have realized how close I was, I would have gone an extra mile today to reach 1,700!

My plan for 2013 is to start the year with a 13 mile run.  It's been in the 30s in the early mornings lately and I am really looking forward to a long cool run.  I am also going to work on an "active" streak - I want to see how many days I can stay active.  This will include running, cycling, and strength training (something I desperately need to work on!)

How was 2012 for you?  Any big race plans for 2013?

  1. What a great year you've had! You are such an inspiration to me!

I plan to start the New Year off with an EARLY (go ahead and laugh lol)four mile run--of which I have only managed to do once due to hip problems lately. But I'm feeling good right now so I'm going to try it again.

I'm with you on the strength training, I need to get that down too. I got some gear for Christmas that will help me with that. Now I just need to make the time.:)

I want to find new places to run and ride this year. And...I'm trying to decide just when I should sigh up for my first 10k. ;o)
