This blog is about my running experience. I am not a physician, nutritionist or personal trainer. I am a runner. I do not know it all. I am only writing from my own experiences. I finished my first marathon on June 3, 2012. Who knows where my feet will take me next!

Twenty Five Years Ago Today

The first clue that I was marrying an adventurer occurred on November 3, 1990.  Les and I hiked Vernal Falls at Yosemite and it was there that he proposed.  No fancy candle light dinner for us.  Fresh air, a strenuous hike, then the big question!  By the looks of these grins, I obviously said Yes!

I seriously doubt that I would be tapering for my fourth marathon if I had not married Les.  I was not a runner when we got married, but he has encouraged me every step of the way.  He is an adventurer at heart and I've happily tagged along!  We've hiked the Grand Canyon, Oahu's Koko Head, the Napali Coast, and Yosemite more times than I can remember.

We've kayaked in Mexico, Catalina, and Hawaii, including the 17 miles of the Napali Coast.

I've followed up him crazy mountain bike trails.

I've waited for him to cross the finish line of epic bike rides like Death Ride and the Dick Evans Memorial Road Race and followed along while he climbed Maui's Haleakala crater. He's been my #1 fan as I've crossed the finish line of some amazing races!

It's been an amazing adventure and I'm looking forward to what comes next!
