This blog is about my running experience. I am not a physician, nutritionist or personal trainer. I am a runner. I do not know it all. I am only writing from my own experiences. I finished my first marathon on June 3, 2012. Who knows where my feet will take me next!

Motivational Monday

Today's motivation comes from Runner's World:
I don't have a runner's body, but I have a runner's heart - and that is all you need.
~ Army Sergeant Jennifer Morris, Runner's World Challenger currently deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan
I may not have long, lean legs and it took me about a decade to actually say "I'm a Runner," but I've got the heart for it.  I think the most important part is I really enjoy running.  I could not train for a marathon if I didn't find some enjoyment while out running.

I did a short run this morning - the plan was three miles, I did four.  We have a high wind warning, again, but after resting yesterday, my legs were ready to go - 9:49 pace.  I came home feeling good and that's what gets me out the door day after day.
