I ran the trail this morning. My plan called for 5 miles of hills. I drove to the trail, something I don't usually do, but I wanted to do all my running on the trail this morning. It's basically uphill for the first half, with one stinger at the very end.
I was hoping for about a 12 minute pace, here's how it went:
Mile #1: 11:02
Mile #2: 12:27
Mile #3, first half: 6:28 (12:56 pace)
Over all pace for the first half: 11:59
I turned around at 2.5 miles, so the second half was downhill: 5:14 (10:28 pace)
Mile #4: 10:41
Mile #5: 11:39
Total 5.03 miles in 57:54, 11:30 pace.
Ave HR 151
Max HR 162
Calories burned: 493
This was my first good run in a week. My leg isn't completely healed, but definitely getting better.
