This blog is about my running experience. I am not a physician, nutritionist or personal trainer. I am a runner. I do not know it all. I am only writing from my own experiences. I finished my first marathon on June 3, 2012. Who knows where my feet will take me next!

August 17th ~ Faces

I'm not going to post any new photos today.  I had a tough 10 mile run (left leg hurt for the last 5 miles) and I needed a reminder of what the face of a marathoner looks like.  And today's Quote of the Day from Runner's World is also timely.
Even when you have gone as far as you can, and everything hurts, and you are staring at the specter of self-doubt, you can find a bit more strength deep inside you, if you look closely enough.

This is my "I'm ready to start my first marathon" face...

This is my "I just crossed the starting line of my first marathon" face...

This is either my "game" face or my "pain" face...  at about mile 13...

This is my "I just crossed the finish line of my first marathon!!!" face...

I know that not all training runs are going to be good ones, but they will pay off in November.
